2D Imaging

Panorex x-ray – digital imaging 2D displaying a full view of your oral cavity. The camera rotates in a half circle around your head starting at one side of the jaw and ending at another. It only takes a few seconds for process to complete. Collimating the x-ray beam to the precise site of the image receptor eliminates scatter radiation also reduces the patients skin surface x-ray dose because the beam size is smaller. This can detect early detecton of oral cancer, TMJ disorders, jaw bone problems.

Report issued by NCRP (National Council on Radiation Protection)new x-ray protective device changes: The use of leaded aprons on patients shall not be required for panorex x-ray machines. Many patients still react poorly to this recommendation therefore office still uses the apron.
